playing dress-up

4.25.2013

Today I just sold a wedding dress I designed and made years ago. It is kind of bittersweet because I spent a long time making it and it took so much fabric! But it has been sitting in a plastic bag in my closet for years. I finally brought it back here to Evanston so I could try selling it. Today someone was interested in it and decided to buy it. I'm so happy that it is going to a good home! I just had to try it on one last time. Here are some quick photos Jed took with my iphone. My hair isn't perfect or anything, but it will at least document this dress that I made. Kind of makes me want to dress up more often! xoxo

  1. What a gorgeous gorgeous dress. I'm sure it will be loved at it's new home, but I'm glad you photographed it before it went. PS. Just saw your Mary Stewart button on the side. I've been on a MS marathon. Such fun reads !

  5. I've seen this gown on your other site and I've always thought it to be the most beautiful gown I've ever seen. Surprised you didn't get 1,000 orders for it. It's stunning.

  6. I come back to this post probably once every few months and it's STILL my dream wedding dress. Maybe when I get married (someday!) you'd be willing to make another!!! ;)
