This photograph is beautiful. The hands (yours or your sister's?) are incredibly beautiful - remind me of those Stieglitz pictures of Georgia O'Keeffe.
jane, they are my sister's hands. and i will tell her what you said! she is always saying how she dislikes her hands! but she is an artist, so i think they are extra beautiful. :)
jess, the recipe is by julia child and it's called "buttermilk scones." i love it because it has lemon zest in it! i cut the actual recipe in half, because it was only a breakfast for three. here's the recipe i found online: http://lequatreheures.blogspot.com/2009/10/basic-buttermilk-scones.html
