A little something I devised to assist me in the morning. Since it's so hard for me to figure out what to wear when I get out of bed every day, I thought perhaps it would help if I label the clothing in advance.
This is wonderful! I've been thinking of having an outfit for each day of the week. That way I don't to think about what to wear going off to work in the morning. I'd have my Monday outfit, Tuesday outfit etc.I've know women who lay out their clothes the night before, but I've never done anything of the sort, so I'll have to see how it works out.
haha, yes i am a little crazy! but i get sick and tired of figuring out what to wear in the morning when i'm half asleep. and i've tried figuring out what to wear the night before. that only works sometimes. i'd like to think this will work longer than a couple of weeks, but i doubt it! anyway, i had the garment tags sitting around so this is what i came up with. :)
I don't know if I could keep that up! One of my favorite parts of my morning routine is deciding how I feel and dressing to match. It sure looks lovely, though!
What a great idea! Reminds me of my mom, who used to make drawings of all the outfits she would wear that week when she was in middle school. I don't think it would work for me, though, as I'm way too indecisive ... I can't make myself choose what I want to wear until it's time to go out the door.
I love those shirts in the first picture! I would love to wear these (and not only on Saturday :). In winter I don´t really have this problem, as I wear almost the same all the time... pants, t-shirt, sweater... there aren´t many variations. When the weather gets warmer, there are more possibilities and it´s more difficult for me to decide.
Oh, I don't think it's ridiculous! This just strikes me as pure-Anna aesthetic -- organized, thoughtful, to the point, nicely designed. I don't think it matters whether you keep it up for ever. It's just a new way to look at your morning. And you have all those thousands of hooks in your work space. Might as well put them to good use!
wow ! i couldn't do this here because our weather is too unpredictable :( so i decide in the morning. and i don't have that much to decide from anyway !! the first photo is fabulous, it beats all the Toast & such in the world !
Hi Anna... I do the same... I have the basic piece of an outfit hanger. I then attach the other pieces like socks, t shirts and so to the hanger with cloths pegs. throughg the loop of the hanger i have a label with suggestions for jeans and assesories. so no i ndont think you are crazy... i am just thinking lets make a club...
mette, that is an even better idea! yes, let's start a club! i am always getting so many great ideas from your blog. especially your wardrobe analysis! i actually printed them off and refer to them quite frequently...!
Oh man, this is so geeky in the best way.

I didn't think I could find you more charming, and you just did it. What a fabulously nerdy idea.

ReplyDeleteI'm curious, what's the "bunting" hanging on the door? Is that a textile quick-reference tool? Just wondering.
