Today felt like fall weather, but I'm still dreaming of summertime. It's Iowa, though, so hot weather will be back and as soon as it is, I'm heading to the lake asap! Hope you're having a good week.

new dress in the shop.

Here is my newest dress, the “House Dress” which I have just added to the collection. I am thinking of phasing out my Big Cartel shop and going with Etsy instead. I’m also toying with the idea of starting my own online shop and website, but in the meantime, you can find all of my newest items on Etsy. Or you can always send me an email with the item(s) you would like, size and I will send you an invoice via PayPal.

I'm lazy today, so I'm typing out some linkage for your viewing pleasure. Have a lovely Thursday!

• Ok, I reeeeallllly wanna learn the hula hoop and I really want to make myself one. And then I want to have a hula hoop party!

• Anyone else as obsessed with this movie as much as I am?
• The White Stripes or anything Jack White is THE perfect music for sewing. Or really, whenever I am undecided on my mood, I just put in some Jack White and and all is well again.

• Did I mention I got a knitting machine a couple weeks ago? Haven't had time to figure it out yet, but I'd love to make something like this on it. Oh, the possibilities are endless!

Went to the Iowa State Fair with Jed last Sunday and ate cotton candy. It was a blast! I got another disposable camera and hope to have that developed today. More later. xo

gingham pullover top for sale. {only one left}

{edit to add: only enough fabric now for one top. after that i'm not sure i'll be able to buy more of this particular fabric.}

Just a quick shop update. Here is a new top I finished. Size small is made and ready to ship and I have enough fabric for two more tops in whichever size you choose. It's made of 100% linen and it's real comfy! I wish I could steal it for myself...

Finally, a new shop update! The chambray top and linen work smock are both in the shop and very much ready for purchase. :) Right now they are made-to-order, so it will take 1-2 weeks before shipment. Let me know if you have any questions about sizing etc. and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

In other news... One year ago today I met my boyfriend Jed. He asked me out to the mall. We met at the food court over in Panera Bread. He got a strawberry smoothy and I got a coffee. I think it's hilarious. I went home thinking he hated me and he went home thinking I hated him. Well, one thing lead to another and we are still together after a year. Funny things happen sometimes, don't they? I love you sweetheart. :)

I put together this little booklet yesterday. It's nothing too fancy, but I hope you will enjoy flipping through. I will eventually make a paper catalog that you can order if you are interested. It won't be very expensive, a couple bucks plus shipping most likely.

Will try to get my shop updated this afternoon/evening with the new chambray top and linen work smock. I'm also working on a few new patterns, a pullover top for fall and possibly another dress. Thanks for looking!
