weekend with my sister

10.01.2007

So this past weekend I decided to go visit my sister. She recently moved into a new apartment, so I finally got to see her place. It's this really cool old building that was built in the 1920's and if you know me and my sister, we absolutely love old things and old buildings. So she was pretty happy when she was able to get this place. I took a few pictures of it, although she still has a lot to do before she feels like it's "done." But I figure when decorating, you have to take your time, otherwise you'll end up adding things you really don't like. She's kind of stumped with what to put up as far as art goes, but seeing as she's an artist herself (she's a graphic designer) I'm sure she'll figure it out. In the meantime, I will probably send her random pictures I find in the random blogs I read. Because that's what I do. :)

  1. Oh my gosh--I love that arched doorway in her apartment! :) I just love old apartment buildings; my ideal, dream apartment would be in downtown Charleston, SC in one of the old buildings near the Battery. :D Its absolutely lovely there and the pictures of your sister's apartment remind me of all the cool buildings there. :D

Glad you had fun!! And thanks for sharing all those pics. :) (And that blouse looks super-duper cute on you! :)

  2. Isn't it wonderful? I love that arched doorway also. She was also adamant that the floors be wooden, and I don't blame her! One of the rooms has french doors, which are pretty sweet.

I've never been to Charleston before, but I've heard it's a cool place to see! One of these days I'll go see all the cool old buildings.

Hurrah for pictures! Sometimes I think I take too many, but eh...who cares. It's fun. :)
